Born Vaquero, Die Vaquero: In Discussion with Werner Segarra and Sonoran Vaquero Zapo Moreno Durazo

Born Vaquero, Die Vaquero: In Discussion with Werner Segarra and Sonoran Vaquero Zapo Moreno Durazo

Join us for a fun, bilingual program about the life and times of the contemporary vaqueros!

Photographer Werner Segarra and vaquero Eberaldo “Zapo” Moreno Durazo, from the Sonoran region of northern Mexico, will transport us into the hidden world of the vaquero. In the first half of the presentation, guests will meet in the theater and hear Durazo’s stories about first-hand, ranch-life experience.

The second half of the program will be an “in gallery” presentation, where guests will study the multifaceted work of the vaquero and view the photographs that are a tribute to their skill and ingenuity under challenging circumstances.
