Scottsdale’s Museum of the West invites you to an exciting day of adventures and discoveries specifically designed for homeschooled students! On Thursday, October 5, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., each of the museum’s exhibitions will feature an interactive experience designed to encourage children to make choices, engage in conversations, share discoveries, and develop critical thinking skills. Additional programming activities and details will be posted on this page closer to the event date.
A western musical duo will stop by at 10:30 a.m. to share a brief, informal musical performance with guests. Children will be able to choose which activities they’d like to participate in; all activities are geared toward ages 6 to 16, and are self-guided by the children’s accompanying adult(s).
A special $5 per person admission rate will be available for parents/caregivers and children on this day. Museum members and children age 5 and under are free. Free parking is available in the City of Scottsdale underground garage, which can be accessed from the driveway located just south of Main Street, on the north side of the museum building. Look for the blue parking sign on Marshall Way.
To reserve a spot for your child/children and yourself, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line “Homeschool Day October 5” by Friday, September 29.
